Welcome! Let's Decorate with Sunshine: A Tour of My Yellow, White & Pink Themed Home

Hey everyone, and welcome to the blog! Today, I’m so excited to finally share a full tour of a project I poured my heart into. I've been dreaming of a space that feels like a breath of fresh air—somewhere calm and energizing all at once. The result? This beautiful home designed with a cheerful yellow and white theme, with just a few subtle accents of soft pink to add a touch of warmth and sweetness.

My goal was to create interiors that inspire a sense of sweet excitement for the day ahead. You'll see how we've maximized natural light to make every room feel breezy, bright, and full of active energy. But it's also a space designed for comfort and peace—for those moments when you just need to relax.

So, grab a cup of coffee, and let’s walk through this sunshine-filled home together!

The Heart of the Home: A Bright & Airy Living Room

A living room should be a place to unwind, connect, and feel completely at ease. We created two slightly different vibes for this central space, but both are built on the same foundation of comfort and light.

In this layout, we focused on creating an open, conversational area. The plush white sofas are the perfect canvas for pops of colour from the vibrant yellow and soft pink pillows. A standout feature is the gorgeous woven rattan pendant light, which adds a touch of natural, bohemian texture. We kept the windows dressed in simple, sheer curtains to let that beautiful sunlight just pours in. And of course, you can never have enough greenery! Fiddle leaf figs and smaller plants bring life and fresh energy to the room.

This version has a similar feel but with a slightly cozier arrangement. We added a comfy armchair to create a welcoming nook and layered in some patterned floor cushions for a more relaxed, eclectic vibe. The foundation remains the same: light wood floors, crisp white built-in shelving to display treasured objects, and plenty of plants to purify the air and please the eye.

The Modern Farmhouse Kitchen

For me, a kitchen needs to be both beautiful and functional. This space combines the clean lines of modern design with the rustic charm of a farmhouse kitchen.

The off-white shaker cabinets and butcher block countertop on the island create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The real stars here are the bold yellow stools that provide a fun, unexpected pop of colour against the neutral backdrop. We chose simple, elegant pendant lights with a coppery finish to complement the warm wood tones. With a large window over the farmhouse sink, even washing dishes feels like a pleasant task with all that natural light streaming in.

A Cheerful & Serene Dining Room

This is where you gather for satisfying meals and great conversation. I wanted the dining room to feel both elegant and casual.

We used a simple, Scandinavian-inspired light wood dining set and surrounded it with fresh flowers in yellow and pink hues. The white sideboard provides ample storage while keeping the space feeling open. A large woven pendant light ties this room in with the living area, creating a cohesive design flow throughout the home. It’s a simple, uncluttered space designed for connection.

The Master Bedroom Retreat

Your bedroom should be your sanctuary. For the master bedroom, we aimed for a perfect balance of cozy comfort and stylish design.

The room is centered around a comfy bed with crisp white linens, a sunny yellow throw, and blush pink pillows. The light wood and rattan furniture, from the nightstands to the TV console, continue the natural, earthy feel of the home. We added layers of lighting with woven pendants and modern bedside lamps for a soft glow in the evenings. And with a large window, you can wake up to the gentle morning light.

A Sweet & Simple Second Bedroom

This second bedroom is a testament to how impactful a few simple touches can be.

We kept the base simple with white walls and a light wood nightstand. The magic comes from the accessories: trailing plants on a high shelf create a living curtain of green, while pops of yellow and pink in the bedding and artwork add that signature cheerfulness. Wall-mounted sconces free up space on the nightstand and provide perfect, soft lighting for reading in bed.

The Spa-Like Bathroom Sanctuary

Even the bathroom deserves to be a beautiful escape! This space was designed to feel like a personal spa—a place to wash away the stress of the day.

A modern freestanding tub invites you to take a long, relaxing soak. The light wood vanity adds warmth to the clean white tiles and fixtures. We brought in our colour theme through subtle touches—fresh orange and yellow flowers, a soft pink towel, and a yellow vase. The sheer curtains allow for privacy while still letting in that lovely, diffused daylight, making the whole room glow.

Thank you so much for joining me on this tour! I hope you found some inspiration for bringing a little more sunshine into your own home. It’s amazing how a thoughtful colour palette and an emphasis on natural light can completely transform a space, making it both a place for active, happy days and peaceful, cozy nights.
